These offerings range through the genres, from classic short stories - with a twist - to imaginative and appealing memoirs, disturbing crime adventures to intellectually and morally engaging science fiction.
The reader will find entertainment, humor, and even joy here, but not comfort, because all of these writers show their edges. The nonfiction treats the difficult and emotionally loaded subjects of death and grieving, including the mysteries of cryogenics; the realities of probate law; the idiocies of our sane civil court system; and the possibilities for living a gay-friendly life in a variety of environments.

WRITER'S BLOC is the published collection of the Henderson Writers Group of Southern Nevada. While many of the stories have local or Southern location, the spirit of the book is truly universal in the best sense of the writer's craft.
