Henderson Writers Group (HWG) is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a networking and critiquing forum for writers of all skill levels with resources devoted to education and craft development. We do this through hosting weekly meetings and the Las Vegas Writers Conference held in April each year.

A Brief HWG History:

Established in 2001, the HWG started with eight members. We now number between seventy-five and one hundred, depending on the time of year. Our goal is to help aspiring writers who desire to see their works published.  In 2003, the group hosted the first of our annual writers’ conferences bringing top agents and publishers from across the country to the Vegas valley.

As for the future of the group, we hope to continue critiquing each other—to help any writer who wants to improve their craft and achieve their goals. The HWG also holds a yearly student writer’s contest to inspire young writers.
